Aloha Thunder Family,

We are so proud of our Thunder family this season!

13 Gold and 14 Gold have both earned the regional bid to nationals.*

For those of you that are still fairly new to club volleyball – Nationals is the “Junior Olympics” of volleyball. All the top club teams in the nation strive to make it into this event. We are so proud that our girls are able to be part of this! Way to work hard and fulfill your team goal this season ladies!

Regional Recap***

13 Gold highlight – The team was able to finally beat this seasons rivals Club Gold and finished 1st in the Bronze Division.

14 Gold highlight – The team finished 3rd in the Gold division! What a success. Great job!

15 Gold highlight – The team finished 11th in the Gold division! Way to work ladies!

Season End and Regional Recap***

14 Black and 16 Black played their final tournament of the season this weekend. Here are the coaches recaps…

14 Black
“The 14 Black team finished their season as Flight 1 champions at regionals!!
Pool play was a great day with many battles! Two of their three matches
went to three games with games ending in 29-27 and 17-15. At the end of pool
play there was a 3-way tie for first. As they worked through the tie
breakers, 14 Black took first in pool play by 1/10th of a point!!!
Tournament day started off slow when they came back in game 2 when they were
down 14 points! They were successful with a 26-24 and 16-14 win against
Snake River to advance to the semi final game. Next they battled Sandpoint
and again they started slow in the first game to battle and win games 2 and
3.

I want to thank my 11 girls and families. We had a great season and I am so
happy for the progression this team has made."
Thanks, Barb

16 Black
“This group of girls improved tremendously from the beginning of the season. Each and every girl learned a new skill and applied it at some point this weekend. My hope is that the girls will continue to work on their individual skills, become a competitive team player, and to have a passion for the game! I’ll be anxious to watch them this fall on their respective high school teams! A huge thank you goes to each girl, their families, and the Thunder community for a great season!” – Coach Amy

Thank you to all teams this season and good luck to the 13 Gold, 14 Gold, and 15 Gold still have a couple tournaments to go. Good luck!!
